Great Opportunity, Old Spanish
Colonial  Hacienda for Sale!
Last Update MARCH 2009

Marfil and the Hacienda La
Trinidad in  The City of
Guanajuato, the famous baroque
capital of the state of Guanajuato,
set in hills at an altitude of 1,800
metres.

Remodeled by the "crazy" Italian,
Giorgio Belloli, who discovered
these Spanish ruins back in 1930.
He was 20 years old and was
visiting Mexico with a group of
Italian militars. When they arrived
near Guanajuato and he discovered
the ruins (dating back to the 16 th
century when silver mining began in
Marfil) of one of the first Spanish
settlements for the production of
gold and silver, he fell in love with
it.

Belloli returned to Italy, worked as
an architect. Years later, in the
forties, he remembered Marfil and
came back with his wife and
daughter.   He bought the ruins
and set about transforming them
into these marvelous houses,   all
with some Italian touch. He
restored the original "Haciendas de
Beneficio" converting each one
individually to make a small group
of residences. The result is unique!
